July 4th, 2006 - July 17th, 2019 R.I.P. Little Girl.

July 17th, 2019

Today, I lost a part of me.    My beloved Scottie, Bailey.   Life without her will never be the same.

I came home today and had to deal with collecting up everything that reminds me of you.  Not because I ever want to forget, but because I have to be able to move on and not dwell on the fact that you are gone.  I may have paid the mortgage but this was every bit YOUR house.

Some may say, "she is just a dog" but those whose lives you had touched know better.  You had a personality bigger than anything around you and yet you were very much a Scottie.   Those who have known Scotties know the honour bestowed upon them to be able to interact with such a bold presence.   You made friends everywhere you went.  Your trademark nose-bops were always something to look forward to and Lord knows you would never be ignored.

The world was a better place when you were here and now I'm sure doggie heaven is celebrating your arrival.   I am so sorry I could not have done more to give you a longer life here on earth, but I hope you know you were loved unlike any other.

Good Bye, my Little Angel.  Until we meet again.
